We now have a fabulous little workshop space situated above the main shop. Perfect for craft sessions, small gatherings or even hiring so you can finish that latest sewing project in peace!

To go with our new space, we also have a new member of  the AFS family. Jade is our new events / workshop manager and is here to help you with all your enquiries regarding our workshop room. A former textile lecturer at Huddersfield University she is just as passionate about textiles as we are.

Regular Events

From the 11th of September we will be running a regular stitch social. Every second Thursday of the month 7-8.30pm you can join us in our cosy workroom to work on your stitch projects (knit, crochet, sewing, quilting, etc.) in a supportive social space. £3, tea/coffee and biscuits provided.

Bespoke Group Workshops

Alongside our programme of regular events and workshops, we can also tailor events and craft sessions to your needs. If you are interested in a bespoke workshop for a work or community group, get in touch.

Access to the workroom is up a flight of 15 stone steps. We understand this is not ideal for everyone so if you wish to attend a workshop but have additional access needs then please contact us and we will try our upmost to accomaodate you.
